Elissiana Caproni, blossoming blogger, photographer and graphic designer. It is my intention to create a blog that people can visit to enjoy and be informed on all things SL Fashion, Home and Decor and everyone’s favorite Freebies! I love working out new looks and styles for my avatar and that can be difficult for some especially when they don’t know where to look. If this blog is your starting point I hope you find it fun and helpful. One thing I find myself struggling with at times is what pieces of clothing work together and what doesn’t. I’m not always the type of woman to buy something and where it as is out of the box or as the set was advertised. I’m a big fan of mixing and matching if I can, so with that in mind, moving forward I will be posting options that I find that work well seemlessly in fitting my Avatar.
SL Life Update:
In past posts I did mention my wonderful husband Matthew and yes we are still solid and going strong. I know it’s rare, particularly in SL to have a lengthy marriage or partnership but he and I have always and always will compliment each other well. I feel like we are doing a great job of growing together and we’re coming up on 3 years married and many more since we’ve known each other. We must be doing something right 🙂
As you may remember Fall is one of my favorite season so I’m kicking things off with a new fall inspired look I created with the help of my shopping addiction. At last week’s Saturday sale (9-14-19) I picked up the Elle Kimono Fatpack from Tres Blah. I don’t buy fatbacks often but when I like to make sure it’s something versatile that I can make work with many other stand alone pieces in my closet. This was a steal because I can dress it up or down depending on what it’s paired with. I chose to add in the Blueberry DWL Capri Jeans along with heels from Essenz called Fresno.
I hope you all enjoy the look and the new post, I promise now that I have a new computer and I’m getting better at organizing my time I’ll be more consistent with posts and SL finds I’m enjoying. Hope you have a great weekend and find something that makes you smile inside and out!
Hello 🙂 After much consideration I decided to revamp my blog and give it another go. Fall is and always has been one of my favorite seasons, so I figured I’d start now. Let me introduce myself once more. I am now Mrs. Elissiana Jahzara Caproni 🙂 Married or partnered in SL now for almost 6 months and I couldn’t be happier. Matthew has truly made me happy and inspired me to continue to do what I love in SL and pursue other dreams I’ve had there and in real life. I am still a hostess, photographer, artist and dreamer in the digital realm and in real life. I hope to add designer and content creator to that list of credits in the near future, depending on how long I battle with learning Blender.
My intentions for this blog will be to help those that choose to read with great fashion finds and style combinations. I love purchasing separates and putting them together for various looks. I realize in the ever growing and changing world of Second Life this can be tricky so I’d like to set myself apart from other blogs and offer tips and tricks and my takes on styles and outfits you can put together. Sometimes I enjoy styling around one key piece of clothing , taking a look from day to evening or dressy to casual. In fashion the options are endless. That’s what I love about it most. So here is my first offering after a very long time away, a fall inspired, cozy, casual look. Style credits are below I hope you enjoy your visit and look forward to more regular posts from this aspiring writer and SL content creator.
Lately I’ve been reevaluating SL and some aspects on RL. In the process of it all I went back to what I fell in love with SL for in the first place. The creativity! After some interesting conversations with a friend I was persuaded to try my hand at some things I’d had my heart set on for a while but never got around to doing. This included attempting to draw hair in Photoshop, not an easy task but I love a challenge. I actually had fun working out the details of the hair in this shot and even tried my hand at a longer version. You can see it here https://www.flickr.com/photos/elissianacaproni/16259523908/
I’ve always loved creating images of my avatar in the fantasy realm and there will be more to come as I get back into things here. Over all I am enjoying the process and glad to say reminding myself of my love of all things art. There’s so much inspiration around me and so many things I want to bring to you all that have chosen to follow a meek and introverted photographer on her journey through SL. I hope you enjoy the works and my thoughts. I would love to hear back from you guys as well. What you think of the posts or works and if you’re looking for a photo or two in world , contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dearest friends, fans, FAMILY!
Please reblog, share, tweet, FB, you name it!
Over the years it has been my freehand spray paint artwork that many of you are accustomed to seeing. There will be more but for now, there is this. My wife and I are working hard on keeping you up to date. We are blown away by the more than 60K followers who show there support to us daily on the blog and other social media platforms!
So, here is a scan of my brain and the Tumor is circled. Its bigger than first thought. On the 9th I have one more MRI w/ spectroscopy to determine the rate of growth and cell types. Then it gets really hairy.
I am doing the best I can to be in good spirits and will continue to strive! It really helps knowing I have touched so many people with my artwork…
So I know it’s been a minute since my last post but there’s good reason aside from life getting in the way for a while. I saw a youtube ad where a style vlogger styled four looks around one item of clothing. I love playing with various looks and I love a challenge so I thought, why not challenge myself and put together four looks for myself in the virtual realm? My one item of choice turned out to be flirty skirt, which is kind of funny because if you know me well in SL and RL I’m rarely in a skirt if I don’t have to be. Guess you could call me a stylish tomboy if you peeked into my closet of casual clothes. I had fun with this challenge, and if you’d like to take a crack at it you are more than welcome. Please share your results in the comments or at least a link to them there 🙂 The only rule is the item you choose has to be a part of all four of your looks. I honestly thought this would be tricky in SL but it turned out better and I got some new style options out of the deal. I’ve always loved dressing my avatar in various looks but in choosing the skirt I gave myself the chance to play more with my girly side and loved it ! Ever had a fear that gripped you so tight you couldn’t move when you thought of whatever it was that blocked you? The holidays are said and done but there’s still a chill in the air, the snap of wind on the back of your neck as you leave the house in the morning. I’m choosing to let it motivate me to try new things, the things that scare me to think of, the uncertain things that I want to try but I let fear block me from. Even in writing this blog I’ve conquered a fear, all be it a small one, I wasn’t sure the world wanted to hear what I had to say, but I figure I have a voice for a reason, may as well put it to good use! Although my range may be small my voice is still strong because it’s still sounding. I want to use this space to put forth a positive vibe about life in SL, the fashion, the fun, the creativity and the experiences we get from the virtual world.
Recently I also pushed myself to try my hand at designing. I wanted a mesh coat but I decided to buy a full perm mesh and create a look of my own. I’ve always loved the cold, this is my favorite time of year because the bugs go away, the cold weather comes and we get a chance to take fashion to another level with layers and creative styling. So I took to SL one day about two weeks ago and let my inner fashion designer out. This coat is what I came up with, I love it because it’s the first time I allowed myself to take a step that wasn’t perfectly planned out, in such a long time. It felt good to just think my way through the design of it, the textures and colors. It’s also inspired me to continue learning to mesh since I’m back in world more and can devote the kind of time I need to it. I’m discovering that I’m more of a DIY ( Do It Yourself) girl than I thought I was. I like creating things and seeing it through to the end of the initial idea that was set forth in my mind.
So here’s the look 🙂 Hope you enjoy….
Happy New Year ! I hope all reading this have a wonderful and loving 2015! I decided to start my year off by filling it with better energy. That meant making some tough decisions but in true Taurus fashion I did what needed to be done. In doing so I felt as if a weight was lifted from my shoulders and for the first time in a long time I reminded myself it was okay to just be me. I’m human, flawed and beautiful all at once, some choices may not be right but I find that if I pray on most of them I land in the place I need to be. This blog is a step toward rediscovering myself through photography, writing and any other artistic endeavor I can think to try. I rezzed into SecondLife Nov. 13th 2007 and I haven’t looked back since. I’m taking this time to reflect on the things I’ve done in world and the woman, my choices have turned me into. In 7 years there I’ve learned to be open and honest about my feelings, that people won’t always like you but the ones that do are usually the special ones you should hold on to. I took most of 2014 to step away from SL and reconnect with family in Real life. A decision I am proud to say has made me stronger and realize why I loved Second Life in the first place. The creativity there is beyond words at times and so inspiring, I lost sight of that after falling into the social aspect of the game, so deep I almost lost myself in other people’s dreams. This blog is a record of my journey to reclaim my own dreams and the creativity I once found in myself. I hope you enjoy the journey, have some laughs and aha! moments with me as well.
